Lesley Moran

Lesley Moran is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist working out of our Cary office. Lesley has worked in the field of mental health and addiction for 26 years and possesses a wealth of personal, professional, and academic knowledge.

Lesley provides both in person and telehealth services, specializing in working with teens, adults and couples, suffering from depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, grief/loss, chemical dependency, co-occurring disorders, trauma, suicidal behaviors, self- harming behaviors, emotion dysregulation, sexuality/ gender and relationship issues. Lesley is an LGBTQIA+ ally and enjoys working with individuals of all gender identities, sexual identities, cultural backgrounds, and those with disabilities.

Lesley is passionate about providing individualized, evidenced based care to each client. She wants to ensure clients feel heard, validated and understood. She believes the client- therapist relationship to be paramount for any positive change to occur and wants to spend time building trust with you. She believes you deserve a therapeutic environment that is collaborative, using humor and positivity, while supporting you on your journey to wellness, healing and recovery.

Lesley utilizes various treatment modalities as she provides individualized therapy, to include, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, integrated treatment models of co-occurring disorders, and emotionally focused therapy. She integrates principles of neurobiology of trauma research, internal family systems, gender affirmation models, attachment theory, somatic experiencing, mindfulness, mind-body awareness, and polyvagal theory, in to treatment as appropriate.

In her free time, Lesley enjoys hiking, water sports, music events and hockey and spending time with her two fur kids, named Louie and Riley.
